Allow Screen RecordingSefaShare can’t see any windows, or asks for permission again.How to fix
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording.
- Turn on SefaShare. If it’s already on, turn it off and on again.
- Choose Quit & Reopen when macOS asks.
If macOS didn’t show a prompt, that’s normal — just enable it in Settings.
My audience saw a hidden windowThe window was ticked, but people in the meeting could still see it.How to fix
- In your meeting app, stop sharing.
- Share again and pick the window named “SefaShare — Audience View” — not “Entire screen” or “Desktop”.
- Check SefaShare shows a green Protected status.
Sharing your whole screen bypasses SefaShare. That’s the one rule.
The Audience View is blankYour audience sees a black or frozen window.How to fix
- Make sure the display SefaShare captures is the one you’re presenting on (menu-bar icon → Display).
- Don’t minimise the Audience View window — it can sit behind your other windows.
- Still blank? Turn protection off and on, or quit and reopen SefaShare.
A hidden window came backYou closed and reopened an app, and its window is visible again.How to fix
- macOS treats a reopened window as a new window.
- Tick it again in the menu-bar list, or use ⌥⌘H on the window.
- Tip: hide the whole app (not one window) so new windows from it stay hidden.
Shortcut doesn’t work⌥⌘H does nothing, or another app reacts instead.How to fix
- Another app may already use the shortcut — SefaShare shows a warning in Settings if so.
- Open SefaShare → Settings → Shortcuts and record a new combination.
License & new MacActivate, move to a new Mac, or find your key.How to fix
- Your key is in the receipt email from [PAYMENT PROVIDER].
- Paste it in SefaShare → Settings → License.
- Moving Macs? Deactivate on the old one first, or email us and we’ll reset it.

Does it work with Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams?
Yes — any app that can share a single window. Share “SefaShare — Audience View”.
Do hidden windows close or move?
Never. They stay open, in place and fully usable on your Mac. They just aren’t in the picture your audience sees.
Is anything uploaded or recorded?
No. Capture and filtering happen in memory on your Mac. Read the privacy policy for details.
Can I use multiple displays?
SefaShare protects one display at a time. Choose which one from the menu-bar icon → Display.
How do refunds work?
